githubreadme.com provides an AI-powered service that automatically generates professional README documentation for GitHub repositories. Our Service includes:
- Automated README generation using artificial intelligence
- Code analysis and documentation creation
- Integration with GitHub repositories
- Storage and management of generated documentation
- Access to professional templates and formatting
3. User Accounts and Authentication
To use our Service, you must:
- Authenticate using a valid GitHub account
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 13 years of age
- Comply with GitHub’s Terms of Service
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Pricing and Payment Terms
Pricing Plans
We offer the following pricing plans:
- Free Trial: Your first README is always free, no credit card required
- Starter Pack: $2 for 10 AI-generated READMEs (one-time purchase)
- Pro Plan: $5 per month for unlimited README generation (subscription)
Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to:
- Provide valid payment information
- Authorize us to charge your payment method
- Pay all applicable fees and taxes
- Comply with Stripe’s Terms of Service
Subscriptions
For Pro Plan subscriptions:
- Subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless canceled
- You will be charged at the beginning of each billing cycle
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
- No partial refunds are provided for mid-cycle cancellations
Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice of any price increases for existing subscriptions. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle.
5. Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with our Service. Our refund policy is as follows:
- 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: If you’re not satisfied with the quality of your generated READMEs, contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund
- Starter Pack: Refunds available within 7 days if fewer than 3 READMEs have been generated
- Pro Plan: First-month refunds available within 7 days of initial subscription
- How to Request: Email support with your order details and reason for the refund request
Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method.
6. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
Your Content
You retain all rights to:
- Your source code and repositories
- Generated README files (you own 100% of the output)
- Any modifications you make to generated content
By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to access and process your repository data solely for the purpose of generating README documentation.
Our Content
The Service, including its design, features, software, and trademarks, is owned by githubreadme.com and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or reverse engineer our Service
- Use our trademarks without permission
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices
- Create derivative works based on our Service
7. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to use the Service to:

- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive

- Resell or redistribute generated READMEs as a service
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Upload malicious code or viruses
Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.
8. Service Availability and Modifications
We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements
- The accuracy or completeness of generated content
- That all features will remain available indefinitely
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
9. Privacy and Data Protection

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose

- Warranties that the Service will be secure or virus-free
You use the Service at your own risk. We recommend reviewing all generated content before publication.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GITHUBREADME.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Errors in generated content
- Unauthorized access to your data
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, or infrastructure failures.
